Connecting with the past gives meaning to the present.
History is also a chance to find meaning and perspective in our lives.
Nothing exists today without having been influenced by the past. Those lessons of the past can inform us and help us to create a better future.
History tells the story of the past, from so many different lenses. I love to share history through a variety of lenses, particularly by using primary sources. My resources help students to develop critical thinking skills, how to organize information and have opportunities to develop their own responses to the developments of history.
I like to create engaging, well-researched, and meaningful content that brings history to life for students.
Here’s what my resources do for teachers:
-
They Save Time – Teachers are busy. Your ready-to-use lessons, DBQs, and activities help them teach high-quality content with minimal prep. -
They Highlight Underrepresented Voices – By focusing on women’s history, World War II home front stories, and global perspectives, you’re helping students see a fuller, more inclusive picture of the past. -
They Build Critical Thinking Skills – Your resources go beyond rote memorization. With primary sources, reflection prompts, and analysis tools like HAPPY or DBQ scaffolds, students are actively interpreting and questioning history. -
They Are Thoughtfully Designed – You create with intention—choosing sources that show change over time, structuring activities for engagement, and using accessible language without sacrificing rigor. -
They Empower Students – Your materials invite students to draw connections between past and present, and between historical struggles and their own lives.
